Sturtevant Forges

FORGES

Overview

From around 1880 into the 1930s, Sturtevant built a variety of portable and stationary forges. As the name indicates, the portables were built to be moved easily from place to place. They met all the requirements of a small/medium size forge for heating, tempering or small smith work.

The stationary forges were built in sizes and types to cover the entire range of forge work from the small forge for manual training school equipment to forges capable of handling the heaviest commercial work.
