Commercial Fans

Overview

Benjamin Sturtevant invented and was granted a patent covering the first so-called hto blast industrial heating system in 1869. From that time Sturtevant was responsible for may basic improvements in factory/commercial heating which evolved into combined heating, ventilating and cooling systems. Sturtevant manufactured the component parts for all of these systems, including fans and blowers, air washers, humidifiers, unit heaters and motors.

A wide slection of small motor-driven direct connected fans and blowers applicable to ventilating individual rooms or limited areas, and other allied air moving purposes were introduced after WW1. Many of them had the "vane" suffix found on the large model.   Westinghouse ended that product line in the late 40s.
